LIGIography LIGI Machined “Art”
image of grinding operation

LIGIOGRAPHY is a patented process that takes a photographed image and “machines” it onto a substrate, (typically, aluminum) by "milling" holes of various diameters and depths, as shown.

The machined “dots-per-inch”, or (DPI) is independent of the resolution qualities of the finished work. In other words, the resolution of the image that is created by the machined holes remains the same, regardless of the “dots-per-inch” matrix. The physical size will change but, not the resolution. (The final product is extremely faithful to the original photo.) With this process, photographic images are "hard machined" onto metal and will last as long as the metal will last.

Make a lasting impression! Create your own work of “art” on metal, of anyone or anything. Sizes range from 4" X 5" to 30” X 60". Excellent for creating a family portrait, that will “last many, many generations".
